We have met many incredibly brave people on this journey.  A few stories and photos to share...

1st Lt. Cameron Kerr

Cameron has been instrumental to our success.  He was our initial contact at Walter Reed and he is the reason we are now welcome there with our crutches. Cameron is an amputee and he is open and forthcoming about his experience and his journey to an unbelievable level of athletic activity.  We are so honored to call him a friend.  You can learn more about Cameron  here.

Major Jon Craig

We met Jon on our first visit to Walter Reed in August, 2011.  He was looking curiously at our crutches that were leaning against a wall in the training room.
Genevieve approached him and asked him if he would like a set to keep.  Our first "customer."  We later sent Jon a set of Bears crutches and we shared his wife's incredible message on our home page.  Jon is an Iraq veteran and we are proud to know him.

1st Lt. Scott Milley
March 26, 1987 - November 30, 2010

Scott was an Army Ranger killed in Afghanistan and a dear friend to our family.  He will forever be our hero.

It was the loss of Scott that lead us to Cameron Kerr.  In the beginning, we were unable to find a way to give our crutches to the people that needed them most.  Our calls were dismissed, but we believed in the therapeutic value of our work.  Scott and Cameron lived in neighboring towns, and following the testimonials to Scott lead us to Cameron's story of recovery at Walter Reed.  We saw an opportunity to send the crutches directly to someone who would understand the benefits of their design.  We are strong in our belief that Scott lead us in a direction where we could help his brothers-in-arms.

Each pair of our flag and camo crutches carry a small discreet transparent label with a dedication to Scott's service.
